NABER-LESS GIANTS DEFEAT SEAHAWKS
- Rob Crowther, Editor In Chief
The New York Giants took on the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle, WA without their star wide receiver and first round draft pick, Malik Nabers. Quarterback Danny Dimes lived up to the moniker, while New York's special teams stepped up BIG.
Daniel Jones threw for over 250 yards and multiple touchdowns without his favorite target Nabers on the field. The wide receiver core stepped up, particularly Darius Slayton who was targeted frequently and even caught a 40+ yard reception.
With stellar play from both teams offensively, it was special teams that really stole the show. A blocked punt with just a few minutes remaining on the game clock by the Giants special teams unit would seal the deal propelling New York to a 2-3 record.
Despite some early mistakes both defensively and offensively, Big Blue is starting to show signs of improvement and personality moving forward. Before we put the proverbial cart before the horse we will have to see how The Giants fair against the high scoring Bengals on Sunday Night.
