YAZ'S NFL TOP 10 WEEK 12

-Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor

My top ten NFL teams after week 12...

1. Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)- the Eagles have been getting VERY lucky recently. They should have lost that game against the Bills, but sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Even better if you can be both, which is what the Eagles have been doing.

2. Baltimore Ravens (9-3)- The best team in the AFC. All 3 of their losses are games in which they blew a 4th quarter lead. If they don’t beat themselves, Baltimore will be the team from the AFC in the Super Bowl.

3. San Francisco 49ers (8-3) - This team might very well be the best team in the NFC. We will find out Sunday when they play the Eagles.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (8-3)- The defending champs are starting to really get into playoff mode. They are starting to make it look easy every week.

5. Dallas Cowboys (8-3)- The Cowboys have been looking good but I am starting to get concerned. They don’t have ONE win against a team win a winning record. They need to beat someone that’s an actual contender.

6. Miami Dolphins (8-3)- Same thing as the Cowboys. They haven’t beaten anyone that matters. You have to prove yourself in this league by beating up the good teams, not the weak ones.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3)- This team is playing some great football. They have the combo that matters: a good QB and a good head coach.

8. Detroit Lions (8-3)- Every time I have this team high they lose. Another big drop from #4 to #8. The Lions are still a good team, but for whatever reason they play down to their competition.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4)- FINALLY gained over 400 yards and actually out-gained their opponents. Could firing Matt Canada be the thing that gets this team together?

10. Denver Broncos (6-5) - This was a toss-up between either Denver or Houston. I believe the Texans have looked better, even in a loss againts the Jags. But 5 wins in a row is good enough to finally make the list. Will this team be one and done ? If they lose next week and Houston wins, they are going to be on the outside looking in.

It’s only 12 weeks into the season and we have a LOT of football left to be played…
