DARBY ALLIN SHOULD BE THE NEXT AEW WORLD CHAMPION AND RETIRE BRYAN DANIELSON

-- Tyler Yasembousky, Contributor

Darby Allin should be the next AEW World Champion and retire Bryan Danielson. You might be thinking really? Over swerve? Over Ospreay ? But yes, Darby is the perfect guy to become your next AEW World Champion. In this editorial, I'll give you four big reasons why it should be Darby, and only Darby.

1. THE UNDERDOG HERO

Danielson was always a “small” but a badass babyface that the crowd loved. But so is Darby. The crowd is behind him always. Imagine how over he would be  as the guy that dethrones Danielson.

2. A HOMECOMING AND A FAREWELL

Both guys are Washington natives.I think the crowd at WrestleDream would EXPLODE if Darby got the upset over The AEW World Champion. Danielson would shake Darby’s hand and crown him as the next star from Washington. This is something Bryan said he wanted to do in terms of making a Washington wrestler a Mega Star.

3. SWERVE OF THE YEAR

Imagine if Darby wins and Bryan leaves the ring to allow Darby to have his moment standing in the squared circle as the new AEW World Champion. An AEW original. One of the four pillars has done it.

But imagine if he is suddenly blindsided and attacked by former Champion Swerve from behind.

Swerve is upset that Darby got this moment and Swerve didn't get his. He lays Darby out and basically leaves him for dead., setting up what could be an epic feud moving forward.

4. FATHER OF THE YEAR

A Darby Allin World Title Win at WrestleDream could allow Christian Cage, who still has a title shot of his choice, to run down the ring and tell the official that he's using his opportunity immediately after Allin had won the title.

The match is made official, and Cage hits one spear. 1..2..3.

Christian Cage beats Darby the same night that he wins the AEW world championship. Darby officially has the shortest reign in AEW history. Christian gets MAJOR BOOS from the Washington crowd.

The PPV goes off air with the father of the year as AEW world champion.
